Brough back to England

The Huddersfield half-back, whose grandfather is from Glasgow, led the Scots in the 2008 World Cup before returning to play for them in last year's European Cup after missing out on the Four Nations squad named by England coach McNamara.

Brough's outstanding form in the opening round of the Super League season has once again forced his England inclusion - the 28-year-old bidding to achieve his dream of playing against Australia.

The latest switch needs to be ratified by the Rugby League International Federation (RLIF), who will also warn Brough that there will be no more changes of heart.

"Players can change from one country to another with the approval of the RFLI but they must stay with their new country until after the 2013 World Cup," said a spokesman for the Rugby Football League.

Brough, who played for Hull, Wakefield and Castleford before joining the Giants last season, will hope to play against an international XIII in June ahead of the autumn's Four Nations Series clashes with the Kangaroos, New Zealand and Wales.
