Championship round-up

Heidar Helguson scored a brace with efforts either side of the interval and Adel Taarabt added a third from the penalty spot to maintain QPR's five-point lead at the top after a 3-0 win at Middlesbrough, who stay fifth from bottom.

Swansea City remain in second after notching their own 3-0 win over play-off contenders Leeds United in the early kick-off thanks to a Scott Sinclair brace and Luke Moore effort.

Third-placed Cardiff City are just a point behind after Michael Chopra and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas scored in the second period at Hull City.

Andrew Crofts hit a first-half brace to send promotion-chasing Norwich City up to fourth at Barnsley, while Nottingham Forest dropped to fifth after a goalless stalemate at Millwall.

Kyle Naughton scored just before the interval to earn seventh-placed Leicester City a point in the Midlands derby with Coventry City, who had earlier taken the lead via Marlon King and then saw Martin Cranie sent off late on for a second bookable offence.
